Challenge Yourself To Connect

During the 10 Days of Connection, challenge yourself to connect across lines of difference. There are many ways to do that: share a meal with someone you wouldn’t normally cross paths with, read a book or watch a movie that highlights the beauty of connection, take part in #MiamiWalks to get to know a new neighborhood, etc.! Fellow Miamians will come together to grow compassion and kindness through a shared experience of LovingKindness meditation. LovingKindness meditation develops feelings of goodwill, kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others. Research shows it increases wellbeing, reduces symptoms of physical and mental illness, increases emotional intelligence, increases social connection and self-love.

Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary. Join to connect to each other, and the wider world through LovingKindness meditation with the experienced meditation and yoga teacher, Adriana Moreno-Zarate.

 

Accessibility: The Developing Mother seeks to make this event as accessible as possible to individuals of all different abilities and needs and will provide the following accommodations: accessibility for anyone with mobility issues, moveable seating for people with disabilities and hosts at the door to assist attendees that require special services

Upon request, they can provide nursing rooms. Unfortunately, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will not be available at the event (but if you’d like to volunteer, reach out!).
