Challenge Yourself To Connect
During the 10 Days of Connection, challenge yourself to connect across lines of difference. There are many ways to do that: share a meal with someone you wouldn’t normally cross paths with, read a book or watch a movie that highlights the beauty of connection, take part in #MiamiWalks to get to know a new neighborhood, etc.! Check out and RSVP to the many opportunities to connect below, and if you’d like to host a connection experience, learn more on the Host page!

Free Music Festival
May 5 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free Music Festival aims to build community and increase civic participation among Miami’s young people by uniting residents, local musicians and nonprofit organizations.
Guests will be handed a colored sticker upon entering and will be encouraged to meet at least 3 people with different colors than their own before leaving. We will have an interactive station where guests will write their answer to a question and be encouraged to discuss their answer with a fellow guest. We will have four nonprofit organizations tabling to talk about their work and connect guests with volunteer opportunities. Guests will also have the opportunity to register to vote at the event.
Accessibility: Miami Music Festival seeks to make this event as accessible as possible to individuals of all different abilities and needs and will provide the following accommodations: accessible for anyone with mobility issues and moveable seating for people with disabilities.
Upon request, they can provide hosts at the door to assist attendees that require special services. Unfortunately, accessible documents for people with visual impairments, signs that list the ingredients of food and beverages, nursing rooms and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will not be available at the event (but if you’d like to volunteer, reach out!). For questions or in need of additional accommodations, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 24 hours in advance of the event.
