Challenge Yourself To Connect
During the 10 Days of Connection, challenge yourself to connect across lines of difference. There are many ways to do that: share a meal with someone you wouldn’t normally cross paths with, read a book or watch a movie that highlights the beauty of connection, take part in #MiamiWalks to get to know a new neighborhood, etc.! Check out and RSVP to the many opportunities to connect below, and if you’d like to host a connection experience, learn more on the Host page!

Know your Rights: How to Get an Apartment and Keep It!
May 2 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Are you curious about connecting while learning about tenant rights? This interactive workshop is for youth, ages 18-24, with experience of housing struggles. There will be a discussion on tenant rights and more when it comes to dealing with renting an apartment. Participants will be able to meet other young people with similar experiences and connect with advocates in the community.
Accessibility: Miami Homes for All seeks to make this event as accessible as possible to individuals of all different abilities and needs and will provide the following accommodations: accessible for anyone with mobility issues, moveable seating for people with disabilities, and accessible documents for people with visual impairments. Upon request, they can provide hosts at the door to assist attendees that require special services and signs that list the ingredients of food and beverages. Unfortunately, nursing rooms and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will not be available at the event (but if you’d like to volunteer, reach out!). If you have questions or are in need of additional accommodations, please indicate those here at least 24 hours in advance of the event.
